Information Collection and Use
The following privacy policy applies to the PDFlens app for Android. By using this application, you agree to the Google Play Terms of Service.
PDFlens is designed with your privacy in mind. Here's how we handle your data:
- Photos & Images: All images you select for PDF conversion are processed entirely on your device. Your photos are never uploaded to any server.
- PDF Documents: All PDF generation happens locally on your device. Your documents remain private and are never transmitted externally.
- OCR Processing: Text recognition (OCR) for creating searchable PDFs is performed on-device using Google's ML Kit. No data is sent to external servers for OCR processing.
- Camera Access: PDFlens uses your camera for document scanning. Photos captured are processed locally and never uploaded.
On-Device Processing
Your Privacy is Our Priority: PDFlens processes all your photos and documents locally on your Android device. We do not have access to your images, PDFs, or any content you create with the app. Everything stays on your device.
Advertising
PDFlens displays advertisements to support the free version of the app. We use Google AdMob for displaying ads. AdMob may collect certain information for ad personalization purposes. You can learn more about Google's advertising practices in the Google Privacy Policy.
You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device's Google settings.
What We Don't Collect
PDFlens does not collect:
- Your photos or images
- Your PDF documents
- Location information
- Personal accounts or registration data
- Contact information
Third Party Services
PDFlens uses the following third-party services that have their own Privacy Policies:
- Google Play Services
- Google AdMob – For displaying advertisements
- Google ML Kit – For on-device OCR and document scanning
- Firebase Analytics – For app usage analytics to improve the user experience
- Firebase Crashlytics – For crash reporting to improve app stability
Data Storage
PDFlens stores your created PDFs and conversion history locally on your device. This data can be deleted at any time by removing the documents from within the app or by uninstalling the application. We have no access to this locally stored data.
Photo Library & Camera Access
PDFlens requests access to your photo library and camera to allow you to select or capture images for PDF conversion. This access is used solely for the purpose of enabling you to choose or take photos within the app. Selected photos are processed locally and are never uploaded or shared.
Opt-out Rights
You can halt all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via Google Play Store.
Children
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider at contact@goudri.com so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.
Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. Since all processing happens on your device, your data never leaves your control. Any data transmitted for advertising purposes is sent over secure HTTPS connections.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
